When determining systemically important banks, factors such as the size of assets and liabilities, the degree of interconnection with other participants in the banking system, the scale of operations, and the complexity of their transactions were taken into account.
The list of systemically important banks for the year 2025 includes Uzna tsbank, Agrobank, Uzpromstroybank, National Bank, Mortgage Bank, Kapitalbank, and Asakabank.
As of October 1, 2024, these banks accounted for 67% of the total assets of Uzbekistan's banking system.
The Central Bank also noted that separate supervision would be implemented for these banks. The regulator emphasized that the ability of systemically important banks to fulfill their obligations is critically essential for ensuring the stability of the financial system and strengthening the economic resilience of the country.
