The Uzbek ambassador discussed collaboration opportunities with a British artist.

Ravshan Usmanov met with Adam Williamson, who shared insights about his training programs in Eastern painting and crafts. The artist expressed his interest in involving international students in the study of the painting of historical monuments in Uzbekistan and is planning a visit to the country in 2025.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, met with renowned British artist Adam Williamson, who has been conducting programs on Eastern painting and crafts, including applied arts, in the UK since 2008. A key aspect of his programs is the study of patterns and decorative applied arts of historical sites in Uzbekistan, such as Samarkand, Tashkent, Bukhara, and Khiva, along with practical exercises in depicting them.

Williamson collaborates with museums such as The Royal Academy of Arts, V&A, and The British Museum, and also teaches at both London and Cambridge universities. During the meeting, he shared insights about his educational programs and expressed interest in involving foreign students in the study of the painting of historical monuments in Uzbekistan.

The artist praised the reforms in the art and culture sector in Uzbekistan and expressed a desire to establish collaboration with Uzbek masters and artists. He also mentioned plans to visit Uzbekistan in October 2025 with a delegation of 25 creative representatives from the UK. As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to enhance cooperation in these areas.
