On December 20, a meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev is taking place in Tashkent to review the results of the work completed this year and to outline the main plans for 2025 aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, reported presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
During the meeting, it was noted that due to investments from entrepreneurs amounting to 6.5 trillion soums, hotels with a capacity of 24,000 rooms have been commissioned.
“Next year, the number of guest rooms will increase by another 30,000. Entrepreneurs are ready to invest 10 trillion soums,” the president remarked.
In addition to the 17 large trade and tourism centers launched this year, 25 more such complexes will be added.
The head of state announced the cost of the international tourist center Sea Breeze Uzbekistan on the shores of Charvak at $10 billion. Furthermore, 23 globally recognized hotel brands, including Swissôtel, Sheraton, Ritz-Carlton, Novotel, Pullman, Marriott, ibis, and Mercure, are entering the Uzbekistan market.
A separate company for trade development has been established, with $350 million allocated for export financing. As a result, for every dollar allocated, entrepreneurs exported $6.
