The collaboration between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of high technology is expanding. A "Quantum Week" was held at the Almalyk branch of "MISIS."

As part of the strategic partnership development between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of high technologies, a unique event titled "Quantum Week in Uzbekistan" was held at the Almalyk branch of the National Research Technological University "MISIS".

This significant scientific and educational initiative aims to promote quantum technologies among school students, university students, and the scientific community. The event featured several international experts, including M. Ostras, the General Director of the Russian Quantum Center, and representatives from "Rosatom" — G. Palchikov and D. Sokol.

“Quantum Weeks” by "Rosatom" is an ecosystem project aimed at enhancing engagement in the current discourse on quantum technologies among educational institutions, regional government representatives, as well as development and business institutions.

The "Quantum Week" program at NITU MISIS was incredibly rich and included lectures, workshops, and practical sessions that were engaging for both students and professionals in the fields of physics, engineering, and new technologies. Participants had the opportunity to learn about modern developments in quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum cryptography, as well as discuss their potential applications in industry and scientific research.

Particular attention was given to the collaboration between Russia and Uzbekistan in high technologies, as well as the contributions of scientific and educational institutions to the advancement of quantum research. The event included a series of lectures, including discussions on the importance of quantum technologies in global science and education.

A special program was organized for high school students in the city of Almalyk, introducing them to the basics of quantum physics through simple and accessible examples. An important aspect of the event was the open dialogue between the students and scientists, which served as an additional inspiration for the younger generation to pursue careers in science and technology.

The event not only provided an introduction to the fundamentals of quantum technologies but also included activities aimed at stimulating the development of education and science in Uzbekistan.

Quantum Week made a significant contribution to establishing strong ties between Russian and Uzbek scientists, as well as strengthening international cooperation in the field of high technologies.

It is worth noting that the implementation of this project began in 2024, with the first international event of "Rosatom" being held specifically in Uzbekistan.
