Joint military exercises "Hamkorlik-2024" have concluded at the "Forish" training ground in the Jizzakh region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, involving units of the armed forces of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The maneuvers were conducted under the close supervision of the chiefs of the general staffs of both countries – Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov and Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.

The exercise scenario included two main phases aimed at practicing cooperation in the face of complex security threats.

In the first phase, the military personnel were tasked with repelling the actions of a hypothetical sabotage and reconnaissance group that had illegally infiltrated Uzbekistan. The militants, simulating the actions of real adversaries, attempted to establish a foothold in a populated area by blending in with the local population.

The second phase of the exercises focused on countering a large-scale invasion attempt into the territories of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The units from both countries were assigned to work together to halt the advance of the hypothetical enemy and inflict maximum damage.

Following the exercises, the chiefs of the general staffs of both countries highly praised the level of cooperation and coordination among the military personnel. Outstanding servicemen were awarded departmental honors.
