Winners of the international AI Challenge for children have been announced.

At the AI Journey conference, titled "A Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence," a ceremonial award presentation took place for the winners of the international AI Challenge competition for children, organized by Sberbank and the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence. Eighteen teams from the "Explorers" track and 26 participants from the individual "Beginners" and "Creative" tracks were recognized as the best, sharing a prize pool of 17 million rubles.

“The AI Challenge competition aims to assist participants in enhancing their AI skills and making their first contribution to the development of technology for the benefit of humanity. This year, competitors faced challenges in three categories of varying difficulty. Everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge and skills in this field, had the opportunity to showcase their abilities in tackling business tasks using AI solutions. In partnership with the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence and leading Russian universities, we are creating new opportunities for the development of talented young professionals of international caliber in Russia.”

At the AI Journey conference, “A Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence,” a formal awards ceremony took place for the winners of the international AI Challenge competition for children, organized by Sber and the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence. Eighteen teams from the “Explorers” track and twenty-six participants from the individual “Beginners” and “Creative” tracks were recognized as the best, sharing a prize pool of 17 million rubles.

This year, 8,500 children from 65 countries, including the USA, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Peru, India, Canada, and others, participated in the competition. The participants worked on technological business cases across 16 areas—from metallurgy and agriculture to investments and creative fields.

The competition tasks for the AI Challenge this year were developed by Sber, its partners, and companies from the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence, including T-Bank, Severstal, Samolet, Rusagro, VK, the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine, SberEducation, Algoritmika, and other companies.

This year, the winners of the 2023 AI Challenge, Makar Baderko and Semyon Epanov, also participated in preparing the cases. Together with SberInvestments, they prepared a task for the team track “Explorers,” which involved building a time series model for validating MOEX (Moscow Exchange) data, taking into account investment news to predict price movements over a one-hour period.
