Сеченовский Университет проведет испытания своего программного обеспечения для лечения стенозов в Узбекистане.

Sechenov University will test its own software for treating stenosis in Uzbekistan.

Sechenov University of the Ministry of Health of Russia has signed an agreement with the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan to conduct testing of the "Virtual FRC" system. This system is designed for non-invasive studies of coronary blood flow and for planning surgeries to treat vascular stenosis.

The "Virtual FRC" system enables non-invasive assessment of stenosis severity in coronary arteries. To launch the program, all that is needed is internet access and a web browser.

The research results will allow doctors to accurately evaluate the functional parameters of coronary blood flow and determine the significance of stenosis considering collateral blood flow.

The program will be tested at the RSNPMCK base over a period of two months, during which data from 30 patients will be analyzed. The obtained results will be compared with the indicators from diagnostic coronary angiography, which utilizes a special pressure sensor in the coronary artery and is considered the "gold standard" for assessing the functional severity of stenoses. In the future, the system may be implemented in the republican branches of RSNPMCK, noted the center's director, Khurshid Fozilov.

“This program allows for a preliminary examination to understand whether the patient requires surgery and what the outcome might be,” explained the director of the Institute of Personalized Cardiology at Sechenov University, Philipp Kopylov. “In addition to coronary blood flow, the system takes into account parameters such as the elasticity of coronary vessels, which makes the prognosis even more accurate.”

Clinical trials for the "Virtual FRC" are also being conducted at the Sechenov University Clinical Center. Upon successful completion of the trials, scientists will be able to obtain a registration certificate to implement the technology into widespread clinical practice.
