Compared to the previous year, Uzbekistan has improved its standing, climbing 17 positions to rank 70th.
In the South and Central Asia region, the country holds the third position, trailing only India (46th in the world) and Turkey (53rd). Kazakhstan ranks 76th in the global index and 4th in this region.
Uzbekistan scored 64.71 in the "Government Bodies" category, 33.5 in the "Technology Sector," and 62.14 in the "Data and Infrastructure" category.
Notably, in the "Vision" section, Uzbekistan achieved a perfect score of 100, significantly surpassing the global average of 42.55.
In the "Governance and Ethics" category, Uzbekistan recorded a score of 58.57, also exceeding the global average. This reflects the country's substantial efforts in developing ethical standards for artificial intelligence. In 2024, Uzbekistan prepared a draft regulatory framework for establishing such standards.
Uzbekistan particularly excelled in the "Data Accessibility" section, scoring 84.05. This underscores the government's commitment to ensuring open access to data, which is a crucial component of the infrastructure necessary for the advancement of artificial intelligence.
